No More Parachute *R.I.P*

Hey people, Darcy isn't dead. He's alive and kickin, kickin it old school, thinking about going back to school! haha. I wanted to come say hi again and give you a couple more updates on stuff that only I think is important.

Kirk just arrived home from Mexico with absolutely no tan at all. Lionel is busy writing some solo stuff and from what he's told me he's lining up studio time! So expect to hear something from Liiiiionel Sensationaaaal. Darcy is hard at work writing songs, I recently sat in on a practise with Darcy's new project and was blown away, I can't wait for other people to hear it.

What about me? Have you heard the good news!? I have recently started a new band with some awesome dudes who some of you might have seen in other bands in the Edmonton area! We're hard at work writing an Ep with plans to start recording and playing shows! I'm not going to tell you the name, but I'll give you a hint... The name of my new band is somewhere in this blog hidden amungst my pointless babble. I'm really pumped about this new band and hopefully we'll impress some people!

Oh and Kirk decided to start using myspace again so search him up!

I hope all of you guys are all doing well and I'm sure we'll see eachother again sometime soon!

Hey Everyone. Andrew here. I just wanted to let everyone know what the members of NMP are up to these days.

I myself am writing my own music and will be putting together an EP of my own original material sometime in the near future.

Lionel is playing drums and writing music with a friend of his.

Kirk is lookin like a Ken doll and hittin the gym as much as he can. He is also going to be going back to school.

Darcy is perfecting the art of recording and will be opening his own home studio sometime in the near future.

We're all doing good. I think I speak for all of us when I say we miss all of you guys. NMP was a great chapter in all of our lives and we'll never forget it.

 

That being said, "Etiquette" is still available on Itunes and in stores. We'll continue to sell it until people stop caring and ask me to stop haha. So if you haven't yet, go pick up a copy.

I'm currently figuring out how to post a temperary online store to sell off our left over merch. I'll make a post when I get that figured out.

Hey everyone. We havent been very active over the past few weeks and weve had a lot of people ask why so Im gonna cut to the chase and let everyone know whats up.

We are sad to say that Lionel has chosen to leave the band for personal reasons. We wish him luck with whatever he chooses to do in the future. That being said our tour which was supposed to take place in November has been canceled as well as any local shows we had booked.

As for the future of the band, were still unsure at this time. Myself (Andrew), Darcy and Kirk are continuing to play and write music together. So you can expect some new songs sometime down the road. As for what name itll be under Im not sure. But I assure everyone we arent giving up and will always continue doing what we love, which is writing and touring.

We apologize to anyone who was looking forward to seeing us on tour. This came as a big shock to the three of us and were still trying to settle everything.

To all the fans, friends, promoters, and anyone who had any involvement with No More Parachute we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The past 2 years have been filled with tons of memories, fun times and new friendships. I speak for all of us when I say it has been the best 2 years of our lives.

Please feel free to send any pictures, videos or stories of the band that you may have.
We hope to see all of you again very soon and hopefully we can make you sing along again!

- No More Parachute

Hey everyone! So we've been getting a lot of messages and comments lately regarding some very important issues... I'm gonna do my best to field your questions right now.



1) When are you touring again?

answer: We're currently in the process of booking a tour that will span accross most of Canada, It'll be starting in November and we'll have more details coming very very soon.



2) When are you coming to the states?

answer: I know we had said we'd be coming to the States in the fall. But it doesn't look like that'll be able to happen. We're still writing for our new full length album and until certain things are confirmed with recording dates and such we can't commit to any international touring. We appologize but I do promise we'll be there as soon as we possibly can. Keep listening and please don't hate us haha.



3) When is the music video coming out?

answer: VERY VERY SOON! Things got held up with the audio and some editing with the video. The director and staff on the video shoot were kind enough to do the video for next to nothing and volunteered their time. They are very busy people and we understand that they have other priorities. But we've been told that the video will be ready to come out super soon. We'll post a countdown as soon as we have an exact release date. Again we appologize for making everyone wait but trust me when I say it'll be worth it! Keep checking back for an announcement on the video!

4) When will you release new songs?

answer: Like I said we're still writing the new album. But we have started the demoing process and are gonna work hard to have a good quality version of a new song to post for everyone to check out. We're super happy with the way the new songs are going and we hope you'll like them too! Come to our shows on tour in November. We'll be playing lots of new songs and have lots of awesome updates for everyone!

Hey It's Kirk!
It's been a while since Ive written anything on our page probably because I don't make sense most of the time. I'll give a shot at updating everyone anyways!

I'm just writing to let you guys know we have a new layout and some pictures we took of our routine soak and rub down. After each day of writing we are usually worn out and exhausted we have a hot tub party to vent and decompress from the everday stress of enjoying each others company.

We have been working hard at writing some tunes and just organizing our lives pretty much getting ready for the breathe before the plunge. There is alot of work that is needing to get done and we aren't the kind of people to bite off more then we can chew so be prepared to see more of us.

I'm sure everyone is going to read this and question how I graduated from High School with my grammar and sentence structure. I did it though! I guess that just proves how terrible our education system is.

Add me on Aim and talk to me I gotta get a camera so I can put up some video blogs! that sounds more fun then writing.

How is it going? Have we mentioned how much we love you lately? Cause we do. Now it's your turn to show if you love us. We were looking at our buzznet and our myspace. Both are going pretty slow over the last while. Our songs aren't getting played and no one buzzes are decreasing. It makes Kirk sad. He has to drink away the sadness. It makes the rest of the band sad too. Do you think that maybe you could spread the love? Buzzes and hits are great.
